Commissioned Work - Private Studio

Precision
Services
Engineered.

Every engagement is scoped as a restoration or bespoke build - never a quick cover. Structural integrity, material specification, and finish discipline are non-negotiable.

Scope of work

A single studio accountable from frame to final stitch.

We partner with collectors, interior designers, architects, hospitality brands, and automotive specialists who require museum-level documentation, commercial-grade materials, and artisans who think in three dimensions.

Each service line below includes the same core promise: hand finishing, traceable material provenance, and inspection under studio-calibrated lighting before anything leaves our floor.

What we do not offer: slipcover-only shortcuts, foam-only "fluff and fold" jobs without assessment, or anonymous offshore fabrication. Quality is defined at intake - not patched at delivery.

  • Written condition reports and photography at strip-down
  • Material memos with mill, tannage, rub count, and lightfastness data
  • Optional archival packaging and white-glove installation

Furniture Restoration

Antique through post-war collectible seating: full strip, frame correction, spring and webbing systems, multi-density comfort cores, and historically faithful or contemporary material upgrades. We preserve silhouette and joinery while elevating tactility for daily use.

Commercial Projects

Hospitality, private clubs, and high-traffic residences with contract-rated textiles, CAL TB 117-compliant assemblies where required, and maintenance plans. Installations are sequenced to minimize downtime and photographed for asset records.

Material Consultation

Private sessions in our Tampa material library: handle full-grain and aniline leathers, performance velvets, architectural linens, and exotic microfibres. We map each option to light exposure, pets, humidity, and how the piece will be lived in - not just how it photographs.

How a commission begins

1. Intake conversation. We review imagery, provenance, usage, and timeline. No blind estimates - context drives engineering.

2. Studio examination. Pieces are evaluated on the bench under raking light. You receive a written scope: frame, suspension, comfort layers, and finish.

3. Material sign-off. Swatches are approved in your space when needed; large hides are inspected for grain continuity before cutting.

4. Bench production. Single-team accountability - the same master craftsperson often shepherds a piece from pattern through final detail.

5. Delivery & care. Conditioning instructions, photographic record, and optional revisit for seasonal leather care in the first year.
